A creekside cabin nestled in the Montana mountains

Kalispell, Montana

A creekside homestead cabin,
30 minutes from Glacier.

8 private acres, a year-round creek, and some of the darkest skies in Montana.

The Cabin

An original homestead, lovingly restored.

Wake to the sound of a year-round creek and a waterfall just outside the door. This original homestead cabin sits tucked into the mountainside on 8 private acres in Montana's Flathead Valley β€” restored to keep its rustic, historic soul while adding every modern comfort.

You're 30 minutes from Glacier National Park's West Entrance and the legendary Going-to-the-Sun Road, 15 minutes from Flathead Lake in Bigfork, and a short drive from Whitefish, Columbia Falls breweries, and downtown dining. By day, chase alpine trails and lake swims. By night, gather at the fire pit under some of the darkest, most star-filled skies in the country.

This isn't a cabin near nature. It is nature, with a comfortable bed and a hot shower waiting at the end of the day.

Good To Know

Frequently asked.

What time is check-in and checkout? +

Check-in is anytime after 3:00 PM and checkout is by 10:00 AM. Self check-in is via a keypad on the front door β€” your code is sent through Airbnb 24–48 hours before arrival.

How does the front door work? +

It's a keypad with a unique code we send you ahead of time. One quirk: the door is original to the historic cabin and can stick slightly on cool mountain mornings. A firm push or pull does the trick β€” nothing's wrong, she's just old and lovely.

Do I need a car? +

Yes β€” this is rural Montana and the freedom to roam is the whole point. Free parking is right at the cabin.

Is the WiFi any good? +

Yes. There's fast WiFi throughout the cabin and a dedicated workspace if you need to take calls between hikes.

How many guests can stay? +

Up to 4. The bedroom has a queen bed with a premium Purple mattress, and the living-room sofa pulls out into a second bed.

Will I see wildlife? +

Most likely yes β€” deer wander through, eagles ride the thermals overhead, and you may spot a bear in the distance. It's part of the experience. Just store food properly and follow the simple guidance in your welcome guide.

Can I bring my dog? +

Not at this time β€” we want to keep the property a quiet space for the resident farm animals and wildlife.

Can I visit the barn, orchard, or garden? +

These are part of our working farm and are there to enjoy by sight. We do offer an optional hosted "Morning at the Farm" walk β€” see the add-ons above.
